MEXICAN HOT CHOCOLATE

Ingredients
  • 2 cups milk
  • 200ml cream
  • 100gr chopped or grated chocolate
  • 1/2 teaspoon instant coffee
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1-2 tablespoons brown sugar

Steps:

  1. Heat the milk and cream in a pot, together with the cinnamon (until bubbles come up) on medium heat. Then take to low heat for 10 minutes.
  2. Let it cool down for a couple of minutes. Watch out- don't let it form that thick cream layer!!
  3. Throw the chocolate, coffee and sugar in. Set it to low heat and mix until the chocolate melts and the liquid turns brown (it never gets THAT brown)
  4. Put the vanilla in. Note: Taste test!! See if it's missing sugar.
  5. Serve on cute cups. Drink and enjoy!!
